Gareth Southgate’s England travel to Andorra for their World Cup qualifying fixture on Saturday night.
The Three Lions are unbeaten so far in qualifying Group I, with five wins and a draw to their name. They sit four points ahead of second placed Albania in the group.
The hosts are one of the minnows in this group and aren’t expected to achieve much. The fact that they’ve only won one of their six games tells you all you need to know.
The visitors have averaged three goals a game so far in qualifying. That doesn’t bode well for Andorra, who have conceded 10 goals in their last five games.
This represents the perfect opportunity for Southgate to experiment with his squad. He’ll want to get the job done though, so expect a strong starting XI for the away side.
England are set to be without two key players for this group of international fixtures. Kalvin Phillips, who had cemented his place in the heart of midfield, misses out with injury.
Chelsea’s Reece James also misses out through injury. The right back would have been a shoe-in to start in this game in the wing back role.
While those absences aren’t ideal, they’re very unlikely to affect the result in this game. It’s very much a case of how many England will win by, rather than whether or not they’ll win.
This will be an exercise in damage control for the hosts. They’ll be keen to keep the scores close and will consider that a small victory.
Below, we’ll preview this World Cup qualifying fixture and provide our predictions, the team news, our recommended bets and more…
Andorra vs England Predictions
There’s no point dancing around it, England are going to win this game. If they were to fail to win, there would be serious questions raised about Southgate and the team.
There’s no way the England manager is going to risk that, so expect a strong side to start the game. The aim will be to get a comfortable lead and make plenty of changes throughout the match.
The last meeting between these two nations was only last month. That was an easy enough 4-0 win and that will be the minimum expected from England here.
Andorra’s record heading to this game has seen them win just two games in their last 20. The first was a 1-0 win over Moldova two years ago.
The most recent win came against the world’s lowest ranked team in San Marino. Andorra had the game wrapped up with a 2-0 half time lead and that’s how it ended.
In the other two qualifying games from last month, they conceded six and scored just once. Four of those conceded goals came in the game against England.
The last time the Three Lions were in action was against Poland last month. A 92nd minute equaliser for Poland frustrated England players and fans alike.
This is the perfect opportunity for England to get back to winning ways and they’re expected to do so comfortably.
There will be no value in the match odds, so we’ll have to explore the markets to find some value. We’ll certainly be looking into the overs markets to boost the odds.

Andorra vs England Head to Head
These two countries have only met on five previous occasions. It won’t come as a surprise to anyone to find out that England have won all five of those meetings.
In those five games, England have scored 20 goals, an average of four a game. Andorra have never scored a goal against England, so even that would be a huge achievement here.
The first meeting was way back in 2006 as the two countries were drawn together in Euro 2008 qualifying. The Three Lions won that first game by a very comfortable 5-0 scoreline.
Andorra hosted the reverse fixture and it was slightly more competitive. England only won that one 3-0, with all three goals coming in the second half of the game.
The two nations met again in World Cup 2010 qualifying. Andorra hosted the first game, in which England won 2-0. Again, the goals only came in the second half.
Wembley was the venue for the second game and it was a different story though. Three goals either side of half time secured a convincing 6-0 England win.
The most recent meeting came last month. A Jesse Lingard brace was added to by a Harry Kane penalty and Bukayo Saka strike in a 4-0 win.
Andorra Team News – L L W D L
The hosts’ discipline, or lack thereof, leaves them without key players in Marcio Vieira, Moises San Nicholas and Albert Alavedra. All three are suspended for this game due to an accumulation of bookings.
It’s three out and four back in for Andorra. Christian Garcia, Marc Rebes, Chus Rubio and Marc Vales all return to the side. They missed the last game against Hungary due to suspension but return for this.
Andorra are expected to go with a similar starting XI to the one that lost last month. That would see all four of the above start the game, with Josep Gomes in goal.
The home side are expected to go five at the back to hold out England as long as possible. Joa Cervos will likely have to come in to replace the suspended San Nicholas at full back.

Southgate made wholesale changes to his side when they last faced Andorra. Our Andorra v England predictions expect Aaron Ramsdale to start in net in place of Jordan Pickford. The Everton stopper is likely to be rested for more competitive matches.
England may go for a flat back four in this. That would likely see Tyrone Mings partner Conor Coady in the centre of defence. Ben Chilwell and Kieran Trippier will start in the full back roles.
Jordan Henderson has been a squad player over the last year for England. The Liverpool skipper is expected to start this game, along with Mason Mount and Jesse Lingard.
Tammy Abraham was a late addition to the squad. The Roma forward could be brought in to start with Phil Foden and Saka likely to make up the trio.
Andorra vs England Betting Tips
It would be a history-making result if the hosts were to win. The traders have the home side priced at a massive 40/1 to win in our Andorra v England match bets. That shows the size of the task at hand.
The draw seems equally unlikely. If you think England will struggle to break this side down, you can back the draw at 14/1.
Given how big a price Andorra are, it’s no surprise England are massive odds on to win this. The visitors are 1/50, which is no sort of value at all.
We’ll scour the markets to find some bets that can help you turn this into a profitable match.
