Arsenal vs Man Utd: Old enemies meet once again in north London looking to book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Arsenal vs Man Utd match preview
Arsenal stunned Chelsea over the weekend with a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium thanks to two first-half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
The Gunners were superb, but they have been in front of their home fans all season. Unai Emery’s men have lost just two of their 18 games at home across all competitions (W13 D3 L2). They’ve scored at least twice in 11 of those games and, despite several injury concerns at the back, have even managed six clean sheets.
However, they go up against a Manchester United side in scintillating form. The Red Devils are looking for their eighth win on the bounce since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge last month.
Many put United’s upturn in form down to playing lesser opposition, having beaten Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Reading, but Solskjaer put that theory to bed with an impressive 1-0 victory away at top-four rivals Tottenham earlier this month.
The former United player has restored confidence to the squad and has developed a great relationship with midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Marcus Rashford, who have been involved in 15 goals combined in that time (10 goals, 5 assists).
And United’s quick counter-attacks will cause all sorts of problems for Arsenal, who have conceded 17 goals in their eight games against the Premier League’s top-six clubs this season.
Arsenal vs Man Utd team news
Arsenal will be without Hector Bellerin for the rest of the season after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Chelsea, which could see either Stephan Lichtsteiner or Ainsley Maitland-Niles come in at right-back.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has been sidelined for Arsenal’s last seven games, will also be missing for the Gunners as he continues his recovery from a fractured metatarsal.
But Alexis Sanchez, the player who joined United from Arsenal in a direct swap deal with Mkhitaryan, could face his former club following a spell out with a hamstring issue.
Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini have both been ruled out for the Red Devils but Luke Shaw is available once again after missing the Brighton game through illness.

Arsenal vs Man Utd head-to-head
Arsenal have won in both of their two previous FA Cup ties with United on home soil, but the Gunners have won just one of their last six meetings across all competitions (W1 D2 L3).
There has also been a red card shown in five of their last eight FA Cup encounters.
Arsenal vs Man Utd betting prediction
I fully expect United’s in-form attack to punish the Gunners’ leaky back-line and book their place in the FA Cup fifth round. Manchester United are at odds of 8/5 to beat Arsenal with Novibet.
