Christmas is well over a month away, and yet, the Premier League is already delving into its bag of festive gifts to deliver football fans with an absolute cracker of a game this weekend.
The teams in question? Leicester City and Crystal Palace; two sides who made headlines last weekend and are in prime position to reenact the dramatics during matchday 11 at Selhurst Park.
For the Eagles, last week’s encounter at the Emirates was less so about their stringent comeback and more so about the ongoing crisis unfolding at Arsenal.
Yet the real news lies in the palm of the Foxes, who look to be making a stake for the top four places this season after an emphatic 9-0 win over the Saints.
So much so that our Crystal Palace vs Leicester City predictions are tipping them to repeat their heroics this weekend, although the scoreline won’t be reaching double digits.
Our 2019/20 Premier League season preview wouldn’t have projected as much. But why not read our thoughts anyway?

Crystal Palace vs Leicester Predictions
Judging by the Foxes performance last weekend, Roy Hodgson’s men could be in for a long afternoon on home turf.
As other projections may suggest though, they won’t be expecting a hammering akin to that of what Southampton faced last weekend.
Indeed, the visitors leapt into second place in the league standings courtesy of nine goals rocketed past Angus Gunn.
Six of those goals came via hat-tricks courtesy of Jamie Vardy and new signing Ayoze Perez. The pair were prolific on the attack for Leicester and were aided by James Maddison and Youri Tielemans in pushing the hosts into the bottom three.
And the permutations of such a result also broke Premier League history. Not only was it the biggest ever victory recorded by an away side in an English top-flight league match, but Southampton’s biggest ever defeat to date.
For any Palace fans watching, the mood around Selhurst Park will be a tumultuous one.
What’s pretty much set in stone is that they cannot possibly defend as woefully as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men did last weekend.
The likes of Maya Yoshida and Ryan Bertrand were sloppy, cut open regularly, and overpowered by a slick, counterattacking Leicester City machine. Palace’s back four won’t be the same.
Which means there is still hope for a potential result. And it’s the kind of hope that inspired the Eagles to come back from 2-0 down against a Gunners team in crisis last week, a performance that our Crystal Palace vs Leicester predictions hail as exactly what’ll be needed this Sunday.
Sure, Unai Emery’s men were there for the taking. Defensively inept, a hostile home crowd that jeered and booed off their captain, and plenty of controversial VAR (Video Assistance Refereeing) decisions to add to the mix.
But don’t let that deter you from processing the steely and disciplined Hodgson-inspired approach to the Eagle’s fightback.
Through the havoc that ensued as Emery and Hodgson watched, Palace were able to orchestrate a draw through Luk Milivojevic’s nerves from the 12-yard spot and Jordan Ayew’s attacking guile.
And even when the game turned sour, the visitors were able to remain defensively sound and compact enough to keep out an Arsenal side that was just as chaotic in attack as they were in defence.
While the Foxes may have to contest against a tough defence, their attacking creativity through Madison and Perez should see them through to another three points.
In doing so, all the pressure is on the likes of Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool to continue winning, just as Rodger’s roster are.
Crystal Palace vs Leicester Head To Head
Selhurst Park has not been a happy hunting ground for the Foxes.
Indeed, with one win in their last five games, the odds about an away win for the visitors seem slim.
Yet, in line with our Crystal Palace vs Leicester City predictions, this is when form comes into the picture. Last season, had Rodger’s men been in the form they are operating in now, these clashes would’ve only ended in their favour.
Sure, the most recent tie finished in a 4-1 defeat for Leicester. But all evidence suggests that the only way this game will climax in is with all three points being taken back to the King Power.
Crystal Palace Team News
The Eagles’ lack of injury concerns is the one thing that seems to be working in Hodgson’s favour.
And quite a few returning faces should bolster the squad, namely in Vicente Guaita and Martin Kelly.
Indeed, the only notable absence is that of Mamadou Sakho, who has been sidelined ever since the start of the season, with sporadic inclusions against Aston Villa and Wolves.
According to Palace intel, the former Liverpool defender won’t be fit enough to feature against the Foxes this weekend.
Joining him in the medical room is Connor Wickham, whose injury problems have followed him from Sunderland to South London.
Aside from the pair, Hodgson will have the likes of Christian Benteke, Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha to field – additions that our Crystal Palace vs Leicester predictions wager will be problematic for the likes of Ben Chilwell and co.
Leicester Team News
Rodgers has a similar tale to tell on the injury forefront.
With Matty James as the only man that remains sidelined due to complications with an Achilles injury, the lions share of outfield players sits in the palms of the Irishman.
Including – fingers crossed – Maddison, who is still finding his feet after returning from an ankle injury that bothered him prior to the 2-1 defeat to the league leaders Liverpool.
Going by the argument that there’ll be no complications for the English international, our forecast of a dominant display from the Foxes might not be too far off from Sunday’s proceedings.
Crystal Palace vs Leicester Betting Tips
Unfortunately for the hosts, the betting tipsters are very much in agreement with our Crystal Palace vs Leicester predictions.
None more so evident than in the odds they seem to have doled out for the Eagles – an unappealing 51/50 pick.
Meanwhile, the chances of an away victory are far more intriguing, wagering as a 23/50 tip in our Crystal Palace vs Leicester match bets.
The probability of a draw unfolding also looks pretty weak (49/50), considering the attacking talent present on both sides.
Yet, just as much as goals are guaranteed, so are the prospects of another win for the Foxes atop the Premier League table.
