England vs Kosovo Predictions, Betting Tips And Match Preview 09/09/19

England vs Kosovo

England faces Kosovo in their latest European Championship qualification ventures this Tuesday at the St Mary’s Stadium.

Their opponents arrive into the clash on a 15-match unbeaten run. But our England vs Kosovo predictions wagers that Gareth Southgate’s men will put an end to that impressed record with their own attacking brilliance.

The Three Lions have been outstanding so far in their Group A permutations. 14 goals in their three matches, with just one goal conceded, suggests another dominant qualifying display.

Whether this leads them onto glory in the 2022 Euro’s is another question altogether. You can read our previews ahead of the tournament on our football betting tips page.

England vs Kosovo Predictions

England will be looking to make it four wins from their first four Euro 2020 qualification matches this Tuesday night when they face Kosovo.

The Three Lions are fresh off the back of a 4-0 victory against Bulgaria, featuring a Harry Kane masterclass. Indeed, with the help of his partner in crime, Raheem Sterling, the Englishman was able to net a hat-trick and seal the three points for his team.

His movement off the ball, combined with pace and power on the counter, made Kane a threat every time England progressed into Bulgaria’s attacking third. If this Tuesday’s opponents give him anywhere close to the kind of space he had on Saturday, then our England vs Kosovo predictions will be right in forecasting more goals from the Spurs man.

In line with Kane’s best-ever start to the season, having netted six goals already, this is not far-fetched at all.

Especially against a side known for their defensive shortcomings.

Indeed, Bernard Challandes men cruised through a weak Nations league pool last year to make it into this campaign. With the help of the likes of Arijanet Muric, Florent Hadergjonag, Atdhe Nuhiu, and Bersant Celina, they were able to come away with enough points to reach qualification for Euro 2020.

Yet, facing significantly tougher opposition, are starting to expose their flaws around the back four.

After starting out steadily with a couple of draws, they had to produce theatrics against the Czech Republic last Sunday to emerge as 2-1 winners.

Vedat Muriqi and Mergim Vojvoda were the goalscorers on the day. But it’s worth mentioning that they needed two goal-line clearances and an inspired display by keeper Arijanet Muric to hold on against the Czechs.

Facing stronger opponents in England this week means they won’t be as lucky in holding on against the likes of Kane and Sterling.

England vs Kosovo Head To Head

Given this is the first match-up between the two, our England vs Kosovo predictions lie on form and individual brilliance to judge the outcome of this Tuesday’s match.

The likes of Kane and Sterling have already proved themselves to be unplayable – a hat-trick from the former man, and a goal and an assist from the latter implies that this is the way forward in England’s attacking lineup.

Yet the inclusion of a more attacking midfield further fuels our projections.

On the other hand, Kosovo also possesses players capable of lighting up games. Muric, Hadergjonaj, and Nuhiu are all English-based players. Put Swansea City’s Celina into the mix, and there is potential for goals to be scored by the travelling team.

But even with notable names in the starting XI, the Three Lions still appear as the dominant side.

England Team News

The Three Lions look in particularly good shape after three wins on the bounce.

With qualification all but confirmed, this may see Southgate tinker with the squad ahead of Tuesday’s clash. The likes of James Maddison, Mason Mount, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also still waiting for game-time and could be fielded in for Marcus Rashford, Kieran Trippier, and Jordan Henderson.

Jadon Sancho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are another pair that England could field in. Such is the attacking depth the Three Lions possess, this doesn’t include the likes of Jesse Lingard, Ross Barkley, and Raheem Sterling.

Our England vs Kosovo predictions expects a bit of squad rotation to kick in. Yet keeping the same faces from the impressive Bulgaria win may be better for gelling formations ahead of Euro 2020.

Kosovo Team News

Challandes, fortunately, has no fresh injury concerns to report of ahead of this Tuesday’s clash.

Which means there is a good chance of the same starting XI that recorded a 2-1 win over the Czech last Saturday to be fielded.

The likes of Muriqi and Voca should be a feature, with Besar Halimi holding the midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Manchester City’s Muric is also expected to get the nod for a start – particularly interesting as the experienced Samir Ujkani, who plays his club football for Torino, is also available.

England vs Kosovo Betting Tips

Our England vs Kosovo predictions have further cause for concern for the travelling fans on the betting forefront.

While the hosts wager as 2/25 favourites, Kosovo have been dealt with even shorter odds. 41/4 in our England vs Kosovo match bets is the prognosis. And the chances of a draw playing out at the St Mary’s isn’t any more anticipated. 26/1 is the benchmark for the points being shared.

All in all, it should be another comfortable win for England – which means another three points towards qualifying for the nations’ next chance of claiming international glory: Euro 2020.
